The Co-Chairs of the Rosetown Harvest Family Festival admitted prior to the 2021 festivities, that scaling down because of COVID-19 was a difficult decision to make. They understood that many were likely disappointed. Still though, they hoped that fun would still be had.

“We're just we're just hoping people will come out and enjoy what there is to enjoy,” Sandra Lees shared at the time.

The committee must have been beaming on Monday, because when all was said and done it’s safe to say that people enjoyed what there was to enjoy.

“My favourite was picking up the candy!” One young girl shared with West Central Online during the parade on Saturday.

Another child we spoke with said he loved the big trucks!

We also overheard a mother mentioning the horses.

The two RCMP officers on motorcycles proved to be a hit during the parade. The Officers would regularly stop throughout the parade so eager children could hop onboard one of the bikes for a quick photo.

Reviews of the fireworks were also overwhelmingly positive. Many shared photos and videos of the display on social media.

“Amazing fireworks again this year!” one resident wrote.

“Absolutely awesome We were very impressed!! Absolutely beautiful!” Shared another.

No word yet on which local business managed to take home the coveted Turkey Trophy.
